What some of our partners are saying about us

We had such a joy-filled time buying gifts, wrapping gifts, and delivering gifts to our two adopted families (Heather Buddle and Maria and Alberto Lopez).

I'm sorry we didn't get any pictures but both families were so grateful and we received lots of hugs and kisses! This was truly the best Christmas ever for the Crossroads United Methodist Women! Thank you for letting us participate!

God has blessed us so much. It is our desire to give back to those less fortunate. If it were not for the grace of God we would find ourselves in the same situation. We wish we could give more to such a worthy cause.”

“There are many families that are struggling to get by now. They are the working poor. They want to take care of their families, but sometimes they need a little help. If every business, church or individual here in the Grand Valley would commit to helping out each month I think you would see more people moving towards being self sufficient instead of going on the system to survive. I also see the increase in our suicide rates here in Mesa County a real red flag that there are many that have given up hope. That is why we feel very strongly that Hope of the Grand Valley is so important. I do thank God for loving us and meeting our needs. Often he brings people into our lives who need to see God's love and care. This gives us an opportunity to do that.”

As a pastor in Grand Junction, it's not hard to learn that there are people in our community falling through some cracks in getting the support they need to find hope and a better way of life. However, it can be very hard to know who the people are and work with them directly to get what they desperately need! That's why I, and my congregation love supporting Hope of the Grand Valley. Vicki and her volunteers are in the places and relationships where the people need her to be in order to get assistance.
I trust Vicki explicitly to carry out her God-given purpose in helping our neighbors. We will continue backing HOPE with our funding, facilities, and relationships so that HOPE can continue serving God's people in need
-Rev. Blaine Scott First United Methodist Church, Grand Junction

"Hope of the Grand Valley fills an important niche - helping families whose situations are fully out-of-the-ordinary, and often disturbingly tragic - and does so with genuine compassion for people and love of God." Illene Roggensack, Third Sector Innovations
"My husband and I believe that as Christians, we are supposed to give back to our community. For us, tithing is a monthly reminder of whom our blessings come from, and a reminder of our responsibility to give back as much as we can. We give to Hope because it is a Christ centered charity, focused on helping families and single moms get on their feet. We like that our money stays here in the Valley, and that HOPEfully, each person touched by the charity will come to know and love Jesus! "–Aaron and Tamme Bishop
"Vicki, I salute these people that are trying to make the best of their situation by providing for themselves instead of depending on government to do it for them. It's not always easy, but to know you CAN do it is satisfying to the soul. My husband and I did it when times were very tough and nobody to turn to and taught our children to be good workers and 'dig deep' when times were tough. It has paid off greatly. We will be happy to give a hand up to these people doing it on their own by adopting a family. Thank you for the concern you have for others. "

"Thank you HOPE of the Grand Valley! We have our adopted family for Christmas, we have all the gifts and tonight we'll have their Christmas dinner all ready to be delivered tomorrow. Thank you for this opportunity to show our Girl Scout Troop members the meaning of Christmas and to help people in need in our community. Merry Christmas to you and thank you for all you do! From Gsco TrooponefournineAKA Troop 149! "
