HOPE of the Grand Valley began this program in 2009; it has proven to be a much-loved program by families and by those that adopt a family.

Adopt a Family for Christmas continues to grow with community support. In 2009 we launched our program and served 30 families (120 individuals), in 2010 and 2011 more than 300 families were adopted (over 1200 individuals) receiving a full Christmas (including gifts and dinner).

2012 was an amazing year for this program. HOPE of the Grand Valley provided over 3000 gifts to children and parents!

We will begin taking applications from families for 2013 the First of October, 2013!

In order to not duplicate services, and provide for more families in need, HOPE of the Grand Valley is focusing on our employed working families that are unfortunate or barely surviving. We believe HOPE’s program is the ONLY one for our working poor with children. Due to struggles today, most of them are working two jobs and trying to live paycheck to paycheck, and hence, they do not qualify for much if any government assistance. If anything they may receive a very small amount in food stamps. They are paying their rent, or house payment, insurance, bills. Now this year, THEY have HOPE!!!
"Just wanted to say thank you for all you do! Our gifts were delivered last night and Amy and I had so much in common, she was very down to earth and she was very generous! Can't wait to see the kids faces Christmas morning God Bless you and Merry Christmas!"--mom
"Thank You all so very much!!! My family had been adopted and received so many gifts and food and even diapers. Can't wait till Christmas morning to open all the great gifts. Wasn’t sure we could provide a very good Christmas for our kids without all the great help and prayers. Again Thank You HOPE of the Grand Valley!"--mom
"I just wanted to say thank you truly from our family. I will be emailing you some photos of the kids opening your gifts. It people like you guys that remind us that we are all equal when it comes to needs and you have taken care of ours.
